The tool is designed to make alignment simple. There is also a wide area to drive the tool with a hammer, making it easy to hold and avoid accidental damage to the fork lower from the hammer. Always check as you fit to ensure good alignment and seal is full seated before re-building your fork.
Note: This product is 3D-printed. As a result, minor surface variations and subtle imperfections may be present, which are inherent to the 3D printing process. These do not affect the product's functionality or durability. I and others have been using these items as a rider for some time now.
